Culture and Climate Coordinator
Candace Lewis
Candace Lewis is excited to be moving into the Culture and Climate Coordinator role at CBEA. She is a Colorado Native, a mother, and continuous learner. When Candace is not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, creating, watching her daughter’s volleyball games, and listening to old school Hip-Hop and R&B. Candace has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado’s Center for Urban Education, and a Masters in K-12 Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Regis University. Candace is continuing her education towards her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Denver. She has 12 years of experience as an elementary teacher, and has worked as a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Teacher Leader developing her expertise in coaching, language development, and equity-driven instruction strategies. Candace’s passion lies in ensuring all students, especially those from historically underserved backgrounds, feel valued, engaged, and empowered. This belief is what drives her desire to make a positive impact on the field of education.
