1ST GRADE TEACHER
Asta Saulys
Asta is excited to join the first grade team at Clara Brown! She received her BS from Cornell University in Animal Science and her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. It took a joyful journey of self-discovery for Asta to realize she loved being a teacher. She held many previous jobs including science lab technician and plant nursery employee. She has taught in APS for the past five years; four as a first grade teacher and one as a reading interventionist. Asta is a first generation American, with Lithuanian being her native language. In her free time, she loves to garden, hike, travel and take photos with her husband and three kids.
