READING INTERVENTIONIST

Meaghan Steele

Meaghan is overjoyed to be joining the Clara Brown team this year as the Reading Interventionist! Meaghan grew up in Illinois and Wisconsin. She received her BAs in Elementary and Middle School Education and English Literature from Marquette University in 2015. Before moving to Colorado 4 years ago, she worked as a guest teacher in a school district in Illinois and as a lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher. When she moved to Colorado, Meaghan became the guest teacher at an APS charter school, working with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade for 4 years. The last year of her time at the charter school, she became a long-term sub in Kindergarten and got to watch her class laugh, love, learn and grow. Meaghan’s position was cut due to budgetary constraints, but she took it as a sign that she was meant to move on to bigger and better things! She is so happy that she gets to make a positive impact on the lives of students here at Clara Brown as their Reading Interventionist!
Outside of school, you can find Meaghan climbing at one of the many rock climbing gyms in the area! She also loves to do fun makeup and lives in glitter and the color pink! Stitch is Meaghan’s spirit animal; he’s so cute and fluffy! Meaghan lets her fun, bubbly personality shine through in her teaching, while holding her students accountable for their learning. She aims to help her students grow and succeed because she knows they are amazing and capable of great things!
