FIRST GRADE TEACHER
Mike McCafferty
Mike McCafferty is a third year teacher and lifelong entrepreneur who looks forward to becoming a part of the CBEA community. Mike has called Aurora home since 2007. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mike spent time as a touring musician and owned a small business which allowed him to travel all over the country seeking new adventures. He earned his BA in Elementary Education in 2018 and has enjoyed this new adventure ever since. Mike is excited to help create an environment where scholars of all levels and backgrounds can succeed academically, feel confident in sharing ideas and trying new things, but most of all, feel included and cared for. When Mike isn't teaching you can find him playing music, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, talking to his teacher wife about teaching, or learning about Pokemon from his 9 year old son.
