On Monday, November 21, The Clara Brown Entrepreneurial Academy (CBEA) gave away 25 Fallgiving Baskets to their families in need this holiday season. Staff and members from CBEA's PTO know that many families are still trying to regain their financial strength from the pandemic and dealing with inflation and a recession. Staff and families were ecstatic to see how many community members provided baskets and turkeys. "We have always known what an important role schools play in the providing essential support for the community and that is true now more than ever. As a school that serves students from all around Aurora as well as surrounding communities, we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to make an impact across the broader community. We are truly honored to work with such generous community partners that recognize that all families deserve the opportunity to come to the table to enjoy a meal and make memories together. One of the core components of theme-based magnet schools is forging strong community partnerships and CBEA has such incredible community partners that make our work meaningful beyond just the walls of the school," said Principal Burke. CBEA community partners donated the baskets: The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Rocky Mountain Kids, The Iron Sharp Community Foundation, Naranjo Civil Construction & Three Spikes Farm, The Jessica Ray Family, TeaLee's, Grand Canyon University, Central City Opera, Marci Lundy: 303 Face | Body, Black Butterfly Candles, and The Avenue Church.
